Dr. Chris Daft specializes in providing litigation support with a focus on Patent and Trade Secret areas of intellectual property. His experience is evidenced by participation in 13 depositions and testimony in 5 jury and bench trials. His expertise spans a range of technologies including wearable devices for both medical and consumer use, electronics, micro-mechanical systems, medical imaging, biometric security, and hearing aids. Dr. Daft also has experience in malpractice and product liability cases related to medical devices. A key aspect of Dr. Daft’s work is his ability to simplify complex technical matters for the finder of fact, making them accessible and understandable. This skill has been recognized by courts for its effectiveness in aiding the legal process. Dr. Daft’s background in patent prosecution encompasses the medical devices and artificial intelligence fields, where he has managed patent strategies for both large corporations and smaller entities. His academic achievements include publication in peer-reviewed journals and teaching engineering at the university level. His legal experience extends to involvement in Federal District Courts, International Trade Commission (ITC) section 337 investigations, and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings.
